FAQ

Before you email me, please make sure you’ve read everything here because it’s rude to make me repeat myself. And before you read the FAQs, a lot of questions can be answered simply by reading the terms of use.

Can I use a pattern in my blog theme or other personal item?
You may purchase a personal use license by clicking the “buy now” button that appears when you hover over an image, but you may not use any of the patterns you download here for free for any use other than for your Twitter page. Please read terms for details.

How can I advertise on this website?
Advertising is based on average monthly pageviews and is re-evaluated quarterly. Please contact Natalie to inquire about current advertising rates.

Can I upload your pattern to flickr to show my friends?
No. Flickr terms state that you can not upload an image that doesn’t belong to you, and since Flickr automatically puts copyright attribution on each image it is impossible to have an image in your account without implying you own the image, so please do not upload any of my graphics to your public image storing account, Flickr or other.

NOTE that I said public so you may mark images PRIVATE and no one will ever know. That is perfectly fine as it raises no question of copyright ownership if you are the only one to see the image.

It’s a good idea to be careful about what photos you post to your online sharing accounts in general for this reason.

Can I change the pattern or design a custom Twitter page using the pattern?
You are free to use the pattern as is, but other than resizing it smaller you may not otherwise recolor, rotate, crop, or alter the graphic in any way.

I’d like to make a pattern myself, can you tell me how?
Sure! I wrote about my Process awhile back, check it out.
